Uma Reverberando memórias e histórias da população LGBTQIAPN+ da cidade de Parnaíba/ Piauí

Abstract

This study addresses the museological memories of the LGBTQIAPN+ community, which consist of the preservation and exhibition of objects, documents, stories, and experiences that represent the history, struggles, and achievements of this population. These museum spaces aim to value the diversity of sexual and gender identities, rescue forgotten narratives, and promote the recognition, respect, and inclusion of the LGBTQIAPN+ community in the city of Parnaíba-PI. Thus, this research aims to prioritize the creation of an inventory to document the Grupo Guará collection, with in-depth interviews and workshops to build the institution's lifeline, held an exhibition, and built a strategic plan for the creation of the Parnaíba Diversity Museum, as a reference space for LGBTQIAPN+ memory, history, and culture in the region. As methodological procedures, a qualitative and quantitative research will be carried out and to collect data, content analysis was used based on publications in CAPES journals from 2014 to 2024. The methodology applied was bibliographic research based on electronic searches on the websites of Scielo, Pubmed, Capes and defined journals, where 10 scientific productions were selected for the collection of bibliographic data. The results and discussions show that interventions in the museum memories of the LGBTQIAPN+ community result in increased visibility and strengthening of the identity of this population. They promote education, combat prejudice and ensure that history and struggles for civil rights are recognized. This favors inclusion, respect and understanding of the diverse LGBTQIAPN+ experiences.
