Abstract

This article aims to discuss the role of LGBTQIAPN+ literature in the construction of self-knowledge and identity from a psychological and sociocultural perspective. Considering literature as a symbolic device of expression and resistance, it seeks to understand how literary narratives contribute to the recognition of sexual and gender diversity, enabling processes of subjectivation and empowerment of historically marginalized individuals. The theoretical framework is based on Psychology, Queer Studies, and contemporary literary criticism, drawing on authors such as Judith Butler, Guacira Louro, Michel Foucault, and Le Breton. The methodology consists of a theoretical and interpretative review, exploring works and academic productions that address the intersection between literature, identity, and sexuality. The results show that LGBTQIAPN+ literature acts not only as representation but also as a space of (re)existence, contributing to the construction of plural subjectivities and the strengthening of self-knowledge as an emancipatory practice.

Keywords: LGBTQIAPN+ Literature; Identity; Subjectivity; Self-knowledge; Psychology.
