Abstract

Law No. 3,551 of 2000 established the Registry of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Brazil, promoting debates on LGBT Heritage and Museology. These studies aim to register and preserve cultural manifestations related to the LGBT population, fighting hetero-cisnormativity in Brazilian heritage. Examples like Miss Gay Juiz de Fora and the Filhas da Chiquita Festival highlight the importance of these celebrations. LGBT Pride Parades also emerge as key tools for strengthening LGBT cultural heritage, generating visibility and recognition of diversity.
