O Desvio Desnormativo: Corpo Queer e Alemanha
Keywords:
identidade, queer, memória, resistência, AlemanhaAbstract
This article explores how the German state used the power of categorization to shape and marginalize queer bodies, highlighting the impact of Paragraph 175 and the institutional exclusion of these individuals from the heteronormative national “self.” The analysis draws on Richard Jenkins’ theory of collective identity and Benedict Anderson’s concept of imagined communities, addressing how the process of categorization reinforced social boundaries and promoted efforts toward the eradication and erasure of queer memory. However, this external categorization also fostered community resistance, where clandestine spaces, organizations, and publications became centers of resilience and self-definition.
