Mandume HQ, founded in 2019 by José Maurício Peçanha, aims to give visibility to Black artists in the Brazilian comic scene. Inspired by the historical resistance of Mandume Ya-Ndemufayo and Emicida's song "Mandume," the project focuses on three pillars: Resistance, Visibility, and Blerd Culture. It seeks to create a platform for Black artists, promoting new narratives and building spaces of resistance. Still in its early stages, Mandume HQ faces challenges but is strengthened by the support of the Black community.
