Abstract

The text reflects on the evolution of Museology, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and including dissident bodies and identities that have historically been erased. It highlights the influence of social movements, such as LGBT activism, in shaping a more inclusive and critical Museology. The author points out the need to deconstruct the traditional model of museums, proposing that institutions should act as spaces of resistance and valorization of diversity. Through experiences and partnerships, such as that of the Museology course at UFSC, the aim is to train professionals who contribute to a Museology connected to life and contemporary society.
